Hauptmann was the son of George Clifford and May Bell Barber Hauptmann, born at Wyaconda, MO., on April 21, 1917. He married Myrta Mae Buck in 1939.
Grave side services were conducted by the Rever Ron McNeill at the Wyaconda Cemtery in Wyaconda with burial in the family plot.

THAT COULD BE THE SON OF JOHN THAT WAS BORN JANUARY 16, 1837 BUT THIS OBITUARY SAYS WILLIAM WAS BORN JANUARY 14, 1855 IN BOSERVILLE, OHIO IN MUCKENGUM CO. THIS IS ALL I CAN FIND OF MOTHER'S RECORD OF HER MOTHER'S PEOPLE.
