James M. Hauptmann, "Hoppy", died on Monday, April 5, in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill., at the age of 75 years.
Hauptmann was the son of George Clifford and May Bell Barber Hauptmann, born at Wyaconda, MO., on April 21, 1917. He married Myrta Mae Buck in 1939.
Grave side services were conducted by the Rever Ron McNeill at the Wyaconda Cemtery in Wyaconda with burial in the family plot.
Pallbearers were Gary Small, Ronald Sparrow, Jim McClaughry, Tommy Dale Williams, Geogre Steel and David Robertson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jane Ann) Clifton, her husband, Robert, and their son John; daughter-in-law, Karen Sue Hauptmann, and her children, Josh Hauptmann of Memphis, Brad Hauptmann, of Clinton, Buffey Hauptmann of St. Louis, and Lance Corporal Bobbi J. Hauptmann, United States Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and close friend Pearl Franks of Canton, MO.

Hauptmann had been a farmer, later worked for Morgan Oil Co., International Harvester, Kahoka, and Ayers Oil Co., of Canton, until retirement in 1982. He was an avid deer hunter, horseman and enjoyed riding his mules. He was an active member in the NEMO Long Ears Assoc. and Deer Ridge Trail Riders. James M. Hauptmann, "Hoppy", died on Monday, April 5, in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill., at the age of 75 years.
Hauptmann was the son of George Clifford and May Bell Barber Hauptmann, born at Wyaconda, MO., on April 21, 1917. He married Myrta Mae Buck in 1939.
Grave side services were conducted by the Rever Ron McNeill at the Wyaconda Cemtery in Wyaconda with burial in the family plot.
Pallbearers were Gary Small, Ronald Sparrow, Jim McClaughry, Tommy Dale Williams, Geogre Steel and David Robertson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jane Ann) Clifton, her husband, Robert, and their son John; daughter-in-law, Karen Sue Hauptmann, and her children, Josh Hauptmann of Memphis, Brad Hauptmann, of Clinton, Buffey Hauptmann of St. Louis, and Lance Corporal Bobbi J. Hauptmann, United States Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and close friend Pearl Franks of Canton, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son John Buck Hauptmann, and a grandson Jamie Clifton.
Hauptmann had been a farmer, later worked for Morgan Oil Co., International Harvester, Kahoka, and Ayers Oil Co., of Canton, until retirement in 1982. He was an avid deer hunter, horseman and enjoyed riding his mules. He was an active member in the NEMO Long Ears Assoc. and Deer Ridge Trail Riders. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of the O.E.S. of canton." published on Wednesday, 21.04.1993.7
