Grace Arnold Woodruff, 79 passed away at the Sunset Rest Home near Kahoka, on July 14, at 3:00 P. M., where she had been a patient for the past two years.

The daughter of Caleb M. and Amanda E. Woodruff, she was born March 28, 1887, at the Woodruff farm near Ashton which was, homestead by her grandfather, Andrew T., her uncle, Wm. Noel and her father , Caleb M.

She received her education in the Ashton public school and early in life became a member of the Methodist church.

After the death of her parents, she made her home for many years with Mrs. Henry Hesse, until this sister's death. Since she lived with her sister, Mrs. Frank Schuster, and later until her recent illness, with her nephew, Raymond Schuster.

One of thirteen children, she is survived by Mrs. Cassie Marshall Riggs, Northridge, Calif.

Preceding her in death were: Margaret Elizabeth, 1893; Amanda Etta, 1910; Caleb H. (Bud) 1922; Andrew Lewis, 1931; Jas. Noel, 1932; Robert LaFeyette 1939; John Langford, 1941, Mary Jane, 1942; Guy Raymond, 1946; Nancy Alice, 1949.Mrarion Daggs, 1959.

Funeral service was held at the Gutting Funeral Home Sat urday at 3:00 P. M., with the Rev. Robert Pfeiffer officiating. Interment was in the Ashton cemetery.
