William Frederick Ahrens was born in Cape Girardeau County, MO., 2 January 1850, and passed away at his home in Mukwonago, Wis., (Wisconsin) 13 August 1938, aged 88 years, 7 months, and 11 days.
He heard Lincoln and Douglas debate and shook hands with Lincoln.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hartman, Mrs. J. W. Barber, Mrs. Carrol Bradford, and F. A. Schuster attended the funeral.
