Reta Cull, daughter of Jacob and Amelia Teter Dye, was born July 28, 1892, near Etna, Missouri, and passed away December 1, 1974, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri, after a short illness.
On March 22, 1914, she was united in marriage to Martin Cull, at the White Chapel Church near Gorin, Missouri. They moved to Snake River, Wyoming, in 1918, and homesteaded later on Slater Creek, Wyoming. They then moved to Baggs, Wyoming, where they lived until 1955, when they moved back to Memphis, Missouri, area.
Mrs. Cull was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Cull was preceded in death by her husband in November 1968. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, Mary Frances (Molly) See, Martha Arnold, and Millie in infancy; five brothers, Frank, Ed, Jesse, Grover and DeLoss Dye.
Surviving are two sisters, Lottie Hottle of Salem, Oregon, and Alta Feltman of Fort Benton, Montana; two sisters-in-law, Hallie Dye of Arbela, Missouri and Elizabeth Cull of Springfield, Illinois. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in the Gerth & Baskett Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, Wednesday, December 4, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Vernon Taylor officiated. Mrs. Ann Luther was organist and Kenneth Campbell was soloist. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery. Body bearers were Richard Moore, Quentin Jones, Ira Onken, Okie Boyer, Wallace Hardy and Henry Reed.2
