Jesse A. Hayden

Jesse Albert Hayden passed away at the Mitchell Nursing Home, Saturday morning, Dec. 5, 1959, at 6 o'clock.
He was a son of Daniel B. and Frances Black Hayden and was born on a farm southeast of Wyaconda, Nov. 8, 1870, being 89 years, and 27 days of age at the time of his death.
On September 1, 1911, he was married to Bertha Simpson. To this union one daughter, Frances Elizabeth was born.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, three brothers, Irwin, Ed, and George Hayden, a sister, Mrs. Ross LaFrenz, two half-brothers, Ben Hayden and Billy Hayden.
Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Plenge, the son-law, August Plenge, and four grandsons, Karl, Gary, Bobby, and Darrell Plenge of Medill; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Mr. Hayden spent most of his life farming near Ashton and Medill.
He was a kind farther and dearly loved his four grandsons.
He was a member of the New Woodville Baptist Church.
Until September 1, of this year he enjoyed good health and a keen memory. He enjoyed talking to his friends of olden times. He will be missed by all.
Funeral service were held from the New Woodville Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2 P. M., conducted by the Rev. George Baskett.
Pallbearers were Irving LaFrenz, Richard LaFrenz, Raymond Hayden, Merton Hayden, Chas. St. Clair and Virgil LaFrenz.
Music was by Mrs. Kenneth Fry, Mrs. B. F. Hutchinson, and Mrs. Harold Clough, with Mrs. Geo. Baskett, pianist.
Interment was in the New Woodville Cemetery.
