OBITUARY.
E. D. RAINEY

     Ebert D. Rainey was born in the state of Indiana on the 14th day of March, 1862, and departed this life at his home in Wyaconda, Mo., on the 20th day of January, 1944. At the time of his death he was 81 years, 10 months, and 6 days old.
     On February 14, 1881, he was married to Elizabeth Chasteen. To this union six children were born, namely: Josie, Grace, Blanche, Nellie, Lester and Jesse.
     Mr. Rainey spent most of his life in this community, where he made many friends and acquaintances. He was an industrious, upright and an honorable man. He always stood for the better things of his community. He was proud of his family and always interested in their welfare.
     There remain to mourn his death the following named children: Mrs. Josie Kerner of Qunicy, Ill.; Mrs. Grace Keiner of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Mrs. Blanche Cassel of Fairfield, Iowa; Mrs. Nellie Sawyer of Seneca, Ill.; Lester Rainey of Seneca, Ill., and Jesse Rainey of Moberly, Mo.; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and other relatives.
     Funeral services were held at the Gerth and Baskett funeral chapel Saturday morning at ten o’clock, Rev. G. V. Baskett officiating.
     Music was furnished by Mrs. Harold Clough and Miss Lillie Baird, with Mrs. G. V. Baskett at the piano.
     The pallbearers were John B. Smith, M. C. Haldeman, Emerson Goulty, H. S. Smith, Harry Bingaman and Harry Kerner.
     Interment was made in the Wyaconda cemetery.
