"John W. Hudson, Hanover"
     Hanover, Ill., June 27. Funeral services were conducted here this afternoon for John W. Hudson, 29, well known Hanover resident who died in the Sunnycrest sanitarium at Dubuque Monday (24 July 1940) afternoon following a prolonged illness.
     A short prayer service was held at the home of his father at 1:30 o'clock and at the First Presbyterian church here at 2 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. Benjamin Tallman, officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery in Hanover.
John W. Hudson, son of Eugene and Aleida Hagerboouis Hudson, was born in Yale, Mich., Dec. 7, 1910. When still a youth the family moved to Hanover, and he has since made his home here. He graduated from the Hanover community high school with the class of 1928.
     On October 23, 1937, he was united in marriage to Miss Ruth Garros, of Hanover. He was employed in the Hanover woolen mill until last winter when he was compelled to resign due to failing health.
Surviving are his widow, his farther, a brother, Gene Hudson, of Toledo, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Leslie Bergman of Elizabeth. His mother preceded him in death.
