LAWRENCE BARBER


     Lawrence A. Barber, 83, of Pampa, Texas died May 17, 1983.

     Born November 3, 1899 near Wyaconda, he was the son of Samuel and Florence Atherton Barber.

     He married Gertrude Richards on May 23, 1923 and she survives.
     Also surviving are two sons: Gene and his wife Erma Lee of Pampa, Texas; Jerry and his wife, Betty of Scottsdale, Arizona; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

     Barber was a member of the Methodist Church at Pampa.

     Service were held Thursday, May 19, 1983 at 4 P.M. at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Dr. Richard H. Whitman officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Pampa.

     Nephews: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph St. Clair of Wyaconda; Mr. and Mrs. David St. Clair of Kahoka; and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Barber of Meads, Kansas attended the services.
