He along with his sister, Hattie was brought by his parents to what is now the old Clough homestead in 1865. Since that time save for six years, he lived on and tilled the soil of the land settled by his father, Samuel.

Clough) Kurtz, Wyaconda; Alvin L., Wyaconda; Homer W., Kirksville, MO.; M. Glenn, Wyaconda; Mildred Frances and Harold of the home. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by two brothers, Walter, Route 3, Wyaconda; William, Kansas City, and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Blattener, Wyaconda; and 13 grandchildren. Three brothers, Samuel, Charles and Edwin and his sister, Jennie preceded him in death.
He united with the Wyaconda Christian church under the ministry of Rev. George Nicol in 1895 and has remained steadfast to his faith the remainder of his days.
Funeral services were held at the Wyaconda Christian church Saturday morning, Jan. 2, at 10 o’clock, Rev. Geo. Nicol, a former pastor officiating. Interment was in the Wyaconda cemetery.
Music was furnished by Miss Josephine Polhans, Miss Lois Jenkins, Oral Currier and Richard Jenkins, with Mrs. Cleo Wilson at the piano.
The pallbearers were six sons of the deceased.
