JOSEPH MARION WELLS

Joseph Marion Wells died at his home in Union township, Clark county. Missouri, October 28, 1936, at 11:56 p. m., aged 80 years, 1 month and 23 days.

Mr. Wells was born in Clark county, Sept. 6, 1856, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Force) Wells, natives of Kentucky. He was married to Miss Martha Standiford, of this county, in 1882. Seven children were born to this union, of whom three, Gertrude, Ica Pearl and Bertha preceded him In death. Surviving are the widow, and four children, Mrs. John McFadden, Elijah T. Wells, Mrs. Travis L. Green and Mrs. L R. Tippin, all of this county; also two sisters, Mrs. Emily Adams and Mrs. Frances Brookhart of Wyaconda. Mr. Wells was a member of the South .Wyaconda (Ballard) Baptist church, from which place the funeral will be held Friday, October 30, at 2 o'clock p. m., conducted by the Rev. C. E. Newton, of Parts. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
