HORACE SHERWOOD

Wyaconda, Mo., July 27. – Horace E. Sherwood of the Memphis nursing home, formerly of Wyaconda, died Tuesday night in the Davis County Hospital at Bloomfield, IA.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Gerth and Basket funeral home at Memphis.

Mr. Sherwood was born at Hamilton, Ill., MAY 29, 1877, a son of Horace E. and Mary Miller Sherwood. He was a member of the Wyaconda Baptist church and a Mason. He married Mattie Wells, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Abbie Kingsbury of California; two grandsons of Seattle, Wash., and a greatgrandson.

Wyaconda, MO., July 27. – Service for Horace E. Sherwood, 90, of Wyaconda, who died Tuesday in a hospital at Bloomfield, IA., will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 in the Baptist church. The Rev, W. D. McMullen will officiate and burial will be in Wyaconda cemetery.
