Obituary
Alwyn Lee Allott passed away on March 10, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Pueblo Co. and attended Central HS. Al graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. After graduation he married his hometown sweetheart Beverly Collins, and they moved to South Dakota where Al served in the US Air Force.

After serving in the USAF, Al accepted a position with the Boeing Co and moved the family to the Northwest. Here they raised two children; Greg and Wendy. Al’s career spanned over 30 years with Boeing, working mostly on the defense side of the company.

Both Al and Beverly were avid sports enthusiasts, competitively competing in tennis and badminton. In later years Al kept his competitive juices flowing by regularly playing pickle ball. He also never turned down a good game of cards.

Al’s most memorable moments were those on Obstruction Island in the San Juans, where he and Beverly built their own rustic cabin above the water & beach. They loved the long summer months spent with family and friends, enjoying the fishing & crabbing, feeding the eagles, cruising the island in the “Blurr”, playing cards and telling stories late into the night.

Al was known for his wicked sense of humor and great booming laugh. He was a dedicated husband and father who was the rock for Beverly in their retirement years. His twinkling blue eyes and infectious laugh will be greatly missed by all.

Al is survived by his wife Beverly, daughter Wendy, son Greg (Jamie) and two grandchildren Ashley & Tyler. A celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Sunday May 20th 2018 at Aldersgate Methodist Church in Bellevue. Remembrances can be made to The Virginia Mason Foundation or Medic One Foundation.
