Chester Hartman
Mrs Hila Margaret Hartman, 56, of Gorin, died at 5:00 p. m. Tuesday Feb 21, in Blesssing Hospital in Quincy following a long illness.
The
funeral service took place on Friday at 2:00 p. m. in the Gorin
Christian church with the Rev. David Stout and the Rev. Byron Crousore officiating.
Burial was in the Gorin cemetery.
She
was a lifelong resident of Gorin and was born there
on Jan 17, 1911. Her parents were Wm.
and Margaret Stephenson Creason. When her mother died in 1913, she lived with
foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Creason.
She
married Chester Hartman of Wyaconda and he preceded
her in death on April 14, 1965.
Surviving
are one daughter, Carol Lynn Hartman, Keokuk music teacher, and a foster
brother James W. Wright of Carrolton.
She
was a member of the Gorin Christian church.
