Alvin L. Clough of Wyaconda passed away June 13, 1969 at his farm home. Mr. Clough was born in Clark County on March 1, 1893, a son of George and Ida Mae Wilson Clough.
On Sept. 18, 1920 he was married to Gladys Hayden.
Al attended public school in Wyaconda and northeast Missouri Teachers College in Kirksville. He taught tow years in rural schools in Clark County. A progressive farmer he was a staunch supporter of the agricultural extension service and served two terms on the Clark County Extension Council.
An elder of the Wyaconda Christian Church, he taught Sunday School for forty years, served as Sunday School superintendent and was chairman of the board for several years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, four brothers, Robert of Columbia, Homer, Glen and George H. of Wyaconda, two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Clough of Calif., Mrs. Ethel Kurtz of Wyaconda, 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Orville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 15, at the Wyaconda Christian church with the Rev. V.T. Wood of Canton officiating.
